Africa and the Middle East
The African continent faces many daunting challenges, from extreme poverty and environmental degradation to political instability and crises in providing basic education and health care. UPF addresses the challenges of good governance and conflict resolution through consultations, leadership education, service, and humanitarian projects.

Regional cooperation for peace and development is a key focus of UPF’s work in the Americas. Wide-ranging programs include television broadcasts, marriage and family seminars, cultural programs, poetry and art contests, martial arts training, and character development.
Leadership consultations and grassroots activities seek to bridge the divides among diverse peoples, resolve conflicts, and cultivate the spirit of one family under God. Leaders from various political persuasions and religious communities work together in peace councils for the benefit of their nation.
